PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new solid electrolyte with the main conductive ion species of a tetra valent cation, and quantity of carrying electricity is large compared with a solid electrolyte containing at least one kind of penta or higher valent cation, at least one kind of anion, with main conductive ion species of mono, di, tri valent ions. SOLUTION: This solid electrolyte contains a tetra valent cation as the main conductive ion species, and also contains at least one kind of penta or higher metal cation, and at least one kind of anion. Or the solid electrolyte contains a tetra valent cation as the main conductive ion species, contains phosphorus of a penta valent cation, at least one kind of penta or higher cation, and at least one kind of anion. As one example of the solid electrolyte containing the tetra valent cation as the main conductive ion species, Zr2O(PO4)2 is listed, and contains tetra valent Zr as the main conductive ion species, and penta valent P as the penta or higher cation. |
