PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield and reliability of that device. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the device comprises simultaneously wet etching an overcoat 10 and a color filter 9, subsequently reflowing the overcoat 10 to form gentle inclination covering the side face of a contact hole and forming the shape of the contact hole that is connecting a pixel electrode and a drain electrode, as smoothly varying normally tapered so as to prevent the pixel electrode from being disconnected between levels.
