The seal (1) is inserted in a ring-shaped recess between a first and second bearing rings (3,5) against the first of which it is secured. The seal has a sealing lip (12,13) which brushes against the second bearing ring (5). The seal has two reverse-splayed V-shaped sealing lips (12,13). The outer sealing lip (12) has a gap (18) between it and the bearing ring (5), while the second inner sealing lip (13) brushes against the second bearing ring (5) side-wall (17).
