<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use the display part of the portable information terminal even when the display part is closed in the power-OFF state by reading saved state data out when the display part is opened and automatically actuating it into the set state corresponding to the read-out data. SOLUTION: When the display part 4 of the portable information terminal is opened, an opening/closure detection switch is turned OFF and then the power source is turned ON; and a portable information terminal operation storage data readout program stored in a control part 10 is started to read saved data out of a storage part 11. The state of the portable information terminal at its power-OFF time is decided from the read-out data and when the power source was not OFF and when an application is not started an initial screen display state is entered. When an application has been started, the application is started and the data stored in the storage part 11 are read out and displayed on the screen.</p> |
