<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-human animal which defects a TRAF 5 function on the chromosome, enables the evaluation of the CD 27 antigen activity and CD 40 antigen activity of a test substance and its humoral response to a T-cell dependent antigen, and is useful for the development of medicines, and the like. SOLUTION: A non-human animal which defects a TRAF 5 gene function on the chromosome. The non-human animal is preferably a rodent such as mouse. A method for screening a TRAF 5-like mediator substance comprises allowing a test substance to exist in a system in which a T-cell obtained from the non-human animal defecting the TRAF 5 gene function is stimulated with both CD 70 and an anti-CD 3 monoclonal antibody, and then comparing and evaluating the proliferation extent of the T-cell with that of a wild type non-human animal. The method for screening a TRAF 5-like mediator substance also comprises allowing a test substance to exist in a system in which a B-cell obtained from the non-human animal is stimulated with an anti-CD 40 monoclonal antibody, and then comparing and evaluating the proliferation extent of the B-cell with that of a wild type non-human animal.</p> |
