<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral rod for overhead power transmission lines and overhead power transmission cables capable of reducing the wind pressure load on the lines without using a special electric cable. SOLUTION: A spiral rod 1, a rod which is wound spirally on overhead power transmission lines, has the cross section of a crescent shape, thereby forming a rise that makes the cross section of a cable not circular on the surface of the overhead power transmission lines so that a wind pressure load can be reduced. Overhead power transmission cables having a circular cross section are wound with spiral rod 1 of the crescent shape in cross section to make the surface of the cables not circular so as to reduce the wind pressure load and to make it unnecessary to use a special electric cable.</p> |
