<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the momentary interruption time of a main signal caused by switching to a standby transmission line and to make a switching time stable. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of switching into a standby multiplex relay transmitter 11A and a standby transmission line TP10, a transmission system consisting of active multiplex relay transmitters 21A, 31A, 41A identifies the mount state of low speed interface sections IF0-IF3, inserts a normal value pointer in the case of non-mount state to a multiplex signal, allows selectors SW11-SW13 to select this multiplexed signal or a multiplexed signal from other active system to which the normal value pointer is inserted and transfers the selected signal to the standby multiplex relay transmitter 11A. A transmission section TX10 transmits the multiplexed signal received by the transmission system of the standby multiplex relay transmitter 11A to the standby transmission line TP10.</p> |
