PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor sufficiently introducing atmosphere to a reference gas chamber. SOLUTION: This gas sensor comprises a housing 10 into which a detecting element 2 provided with a reference gas chamber is inserted and arranged, a first metal cover 11 with one end fixed to the housing 10, and a second metal cover 12 arranged on the outer circumference of the first metal cover 11. An insulating/holding member 1 3 in the first metal cover 11 is arranged in such a way as to be opposed to a first air vent 110. By making the outside shape of the insulating/holding member 3 different from the inside shape of the first metal cover 11, a reference gas passage part 115 is provided in between with the first metal cover 11. In addition, the first metal cover 11, the second metal cover 12, and a water repellent filter 13 are each caulked and fixed outside the insulating/holding member 3. |
