PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a motor capable of easily and effectively executing offset regulation and gain regulation of a pole position waveform of the PM motor. SOLUTION: This controller 30 for a motor comprises a 2-phase pole position detector 6 for detecting time series data of two phase pole positions for three phase pole positions of the PM motor 4 having three-phase poles. A 2-phase offset gain calculator 10 calculates the amplitude offset and gain unbalance of the motor 4.
