PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce erroneous input to improve operability by constituting the device by changing over a mode by holding the inputting condition over a fixed time by an input means, and noticing changeover of the mode. SOLUTION: In a dividing computer, for example, a display part and switches A, B are constituted on the upper face of a device main body. The device is usually on stand-by in the condition of SURFACE MODE 201. When the switch A (or B) is input, it is shifted to DIVE PLAN MODE 202 (or DIVE LOG MODE 203), further when the switch A (or B) is input, it is shifted to a the switch A (or B) holding and relay information means 209. When the switch A (or B) is input in the SURFACE MODE 201, the input is held, and further the B (or A) is input, it becomes in the display condition of a A+B hold relay informing means 207 (or B+A hold relay information means 208). In this way, input of an input means is held, and a mode to be shifted next is made clear.
