摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reluctance type multiphase motor which can decide the phase to be excited next by detecting the positional relation between magnetic poles, without requiring sensors nor members to be detected. SOLUTION: A reluctance type multiphase motor is provided with an energizing control circuit, which controls the energization of armature coils 9a and 9d respectively wound around the one-side multiphase magnetic poles of a stator or rotor. A high-frequency signal is given to each unexcited armature coil 9a and 9d of the armature coils 9a and 9d, and a peak rectifier circuit 27 converts the high-frequency signal passed through the coils 9a and 9d into voltage values, which are inversely proportional to the inductance values which change correspondingly to the positional variation of the magnetic poles of the passed armature coils 9a and 9d. When a comparator circuit 28 detects that the values become those indicating that the magnetic poles reach prescribed positions, the circuit 28 supplies exciting currents to the coils 9a and 9d, and in addition, stops the supply of exciting currents to armature coils which are driven.
