PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish battery backup whereby the operation of a communication device is maintained in the case of an anomaly in alternating-current input, reduce power consumption, enhance reliability, and lower price, by performing the on/off operation of reactors using a switching element. SOLUTION: A switching element 26 is connected between the reactors of the primary windings N1 and N2 of a transformer 25, and performs on/off operation according to signals from a controller 38. The output terminals of a rectifier circuit 2 are connected between the reactors of the primary winding N1 and the reset winding Nr of the transformer 25 and between the reactors of the primary windings N1 and N4. A diode 28, the reactor of the reset winding Nr of the transformer 25, and a capacitor 27 form a loop. In addition, a diode 29, the reactor of the primary winding N4 of the transformer 25, and a capacitor 30 form a loop, which loop forms an auxiliary power circuit. |
