<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high cleaning capacity by providing the flows of water flowing in the upper of connected water tanks and the flows of water circulated in the water tanks. SOLUTION: Five aerobic contact tanks 4 are connected to an anaerobic sedimentation tank 3 and a final sedimentation tank 5 is connected finally. The partition walls 6 separating the respective tanks 3, 4, 5 are made slighly lower in the upper end than the surface of water and air diffusers 7 are provided to the bottom parts of the aerobic contact tanks 4 and the tanks 3, 4 excepting the final sedimentation tank 5 are packed with string-like contact oxidizing deices 9. Herein, since the partition walls 6 separating the tanks 3, 4, 5 are made slightly lower in the upper ends than the surface if water, water flows horizontally in the upper parts of the tanks 3, 4, 5 and air bubbles discharged from the air diffusers 7 rise in the aerobic contact tanks 4 to generate circulating flows. Since the stagnation times in the tanks can be made long, it is unnecessary to make water tanks large and the contact time with the string-like contact oxidizing devices 9 becomes long and pulluted water can be efficiently cleaned.</p> |
