<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal system with automatic individual confirming function which is improved in the confirming accuracy of individuals or the like by automatically discriminating the individuals through quantitative and objective comparison at the time of confirming the individuals by using facial images. SOLUTION: The terminal system takes the image of a customer 3 coming to a store with a facial image camera 23 and the image of the identification card with facial photograph brought by the customer 3 with a facial photograph reading mechanism 251 incorporated in a card R/W 25 or a character/image camera 24 and calculates the collation rate between the facial images by means of a control section 26. When the collation rate is a fixed value or higher, the system continues the transaction. When the collation rate is lower than the fixed value or in any other cases, the system transmits the compared images and calculated collation rate to a host-side terminal through a line 7, such as the ISDN, and the operator of the host-side terminal confirms the customer 3 with reference to the images and collation rate.</p> |
