DEVICE AND METHOD FOR BUILDING UP VIRTUAL AV NETWORK AND STORAGE MEDIUM RECORDING PROGRAM RELATING TO THE METHOD FOR BUILDING UP VIRTUAL AV NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an AV network using a single interface to be virtually built in appearances. SOLUTION: A virtual AV network build-up device A is provided with a 1394 link 10 that is connected to a transmission line using an interface in compliance with the IEEE 1394 standards, an information transmission reception means 11 that transmits/receives information, a protocol processing means 12 that enroots the information, a virtual device function processing means 20 that acts like a sub unit, an integral management means 30 that starts or terminates the virtual device function processing means 20, an OS 40 that activates a PC 103, and a PC device driver 50 that activates peripheral equipment M connected to the PC 103. Even the equipments using different interfaces can virtually build up an AV network in question by using this virtual AV network build-up device as if a unified interface were used in this virtual AV network.
