PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supplement the abbreviation of plural words or characters in a sentence as well by extracting candidates for the abbreviated words by referring to a word dictionary from characters before and after an abbreviation code to be included in the inputted sentence. SOLUTION: The words including the characters before and after abbreviated character '∼' are extracted by referring to the word dictionary 131 for the inputted abbreviated sentence by a candidate word extraction processing 151. Next, the optimal word in consideration of connection is decided as the sentence by referring to the word dictionary 131 in which appearance frequency to express the frequency of the words is described from the extracted candidate words and a transition dictionary 132 between words in which transition frequency between words to express transition frequency between words is described by an optimal candidate decision processing 152. When the supplemented sentence is different from the one thought by a user, input to specify erroneous words is performed. Use frequency (the appearance frequency) of the word dictionary and transition probability (the transition frequency) of the transition dictionary between words are changed based on the words selected by receiving specification by the user by a dictionary learning processing 170.
