PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing container, wherein a semiconductor device hardly vibrates and outer terminals are hardly damaged, if external forces are exerted or when it is put in or out, by providing semiconductor device position regulating members facing the side face and top face of the semiconductor device mounted on the base in the container. SOLUTION: A container A is a tube 1 having an approximately square cross section, the bottom of the tube 1 has an inverted recessed protrusion 2 at the center. Ribs 4a, 4b are provided, protruding from top of the tube 1. When a semiconductor device C is set on the protrusion 2 to house it in the tube 1, the ribs 4a, 4b are provided so as to face the side faces of the device C. Thus, if an external force is exerted on the tube 1, the semiconductor device C is regulated by the ribs 4a, 4b and hence does not greatly vibrate, and accordingly outer terminals 21a, 21b will not be damaged, after striking against the side face of the protrusion 2.
