PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the exposure, and also, to reduce a red eye phenomenon and the occurrence of the shadow of an object by flashing both of a built-in flash of a camera and an external flash in a flash control system composed of a camera main body and the remotely controllable external flash. SOLUTION: In the case an external flash mode is selected, both of the external flash 100 and the built-in flash 16 are flashed to obtain an appropriate exposure value. A 2nd aperture scale corresponding to the exposure value to be obtained from the built-in flash 16 and a 3rd aperture scale corresponding to the exposure value to be obtained from the external flash are calculated. Then the built-in flash 16 is flashed twice for communication based on the 2nd and 3rd aperture scales to control the flashing timing and flashing quantity of the external flash 100. |
