There is disclosed a sports target which comprises a hoop; a net loosely suspended from the hoop and spanning the interior thereof; and a pair of elastic suspension means for suspending the hoop from a cross bar or the like. The hoop is an elongate circular hoop member, the respective ends of which overlap to form a region of overlap within which the hoop member crosses against itself at least twice to form an interlocking ho op structure.
