PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for elevator equipment, capable of relieving the degree of congestion on a reference floor not to give uncomfortable feeling to passengers, and improving the utilization efficiency of a double deck elevator. SOLUTION: An elevator device is provided with an escalator 2a capable of transporting passengers from a reference floor serving as a reference of the action of a lower car (1d) of a double deck elevator 1 to an upper floor one floor above the reference floor, and changing the operating speed and the operating direction, and an escalator 2b capable of transporting passengers from an upper floor above the reference floor, which serves as an reference of the action of an upper car 1u of the double deck elevator 1, to the reference floor, and changing the operating speed and the operating direction. In this case, the elevator device is provided with load detectors 5a, 5b for respectively detecting the number of passengers for the upper for the upper deck (1u) and the lower deck (1d), a position detector 6 for detecting the position of the elevator 1, and a control means for judging the degree of congestion on the reference floor or the upper floor above the reference floor based on the detected results from the position detector 6 and the load detectors 5a, 5b, and determining the operating speed of the escalators 2a, 2b from the judged results. |
