PURPOSE: A fax transmission method for a smart phone is provided to automatically select a line with good quality and transmit a fax when a fax can be transmitted by wire/wireless due to the smart phone connected to the PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network). CONSTITUTION: A second CPU of a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) part discriminates whether a user inputs a fax transmission command(21). If a fax transmission command is input, it is discriminated whether the PDA part of a smart phone is connected to the PSTN(22). When a RJ11 jack is inserted, so the smart phone is connected to the PSTN, the second CPU reads the fax data stored to a second memory and then transmits through the jack by a modem, thereby transmitting the fax by wire(23). When the smart phone is not connected to PSTN, the fax is transmitted by a built-in wireless network(24).
