PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce input power consumption by using an electric double-layer capacitor at the secondary side of a switching power source. SOLUTION: The switching power source is obtained by connecting an AC input power source to the primary side of a transformer of a switching power source unit 6 and a switch element 4, a photocoupler 2 to a secondary side of the transformer, thereby starting/stopping an oscillation of the unit 6 via the photocoupler 2 from the element 5. In this case, an electric double-layer capacitor 1 is connected to the secondary side of the unit 6 in parallel with a load, the photocoupler 2 is made to be turned on by the element 4, a current is supplied form the capacitor 1 to the load while stopping oscillating of the unit 6, the photocoupler 2 is made turned off by the element 4, and the capacitor 1 is charged from the unit 1 during the time the unit 6 is being oscillated. |
