The light source has a layer stack (1) consisting of epitaxial layers (12, 13) made of semiconductor material for producing and radiating photons as optical power of the light source. The stack is electrically connected to a carrier body (2) by a connecting unit (3). The body has two electrical contacts (21,22) separated from each other. A semiconductor contact (15) and a contact (160) are arranged at a surface of the stack, where the surface is turned towards the carrier body. The semiconductor contact and the contact are connected to the respective electrical contacts of the carrier body. |
