PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst for removing an organohalogen compd. capable of inexpensively and highly efficiently removing an organohalogen contained in exhaust gas within a temp. range from a low temp. region (about 150-180 deg.C) applied to bag filter exhaust gas to a high temp. region up to 300 deg.C inclusive of nitrogen over a long time. SOLUTION: A catalyst for removing an organohalogen compd. improved in durability contains at least one kind of Mn-containing oxide selected from the group consisting of α-MnO2, β-MnO2, Mn-Cu compound oxide and Mn-Fe compound oxide and at least one kind of a compd. selected from the group consisting of Ti oxide, Ce oxide, Zr oxide and aluminum phosphate. |
