PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the fuel injection performance of an injector even at a low temperature, such as cold start and high viscosity of hydraulic oil, by making the outlet end of a hydraulic oil passage in an injector body communicate with only the bottom part of a lower recess part facing the upper edge of a pressure intensifying piston in a pressure chamber. SOLUTION: When a poppet valve 16 is lifted against a return spring 19, a hydraulic oil passage 44 communicates with a hydraulic oil supply opening 45 through an upper recess part 42, and through the hydraulic oil passage 44, high-pressure hydraulic oil is supplied to a pressure chamber 8, so that a pressure intensifying piston 9 is lowered by energizing hydraulic oil and the fuel in a pressure intensifying chamber 7 is intensified. In such a hydraulic injector, the outlet end 44A of the hydraulic oil passage 44 formed at an injector body 4 is formed so as to make a direct communicate with the bottom part of a lower recess part 41 facing the upper end 91 of the pressure intensifying piston 9. It is thus possible to facilitate the inflow of hydraulic oil into the pressure chamber 8 from the hydraulic oil passage 41. |
