PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor capable of speedily discovering an error. SOLUTION: A central processing unit 21 judges whether one converted record is 500 bytes or not after converting the record from a shift JIS code having a code showing the start of the character of 2 bytes and a code showing the end before and after the character of 2 bytes to an extended binary coded decimal interface code(EBCDIC). When one record is 500 bytes after conversion, it is judged that the code is properly converted and the data of one record after conversion are written in the OK file of an auxiliary storage device 25. When one record is not 500 bytes after conversion, the presence of an error in one record is judged and the data of one record after conversion are written in the NG file of the auxiliary storage device 25. Thus, the error can be discovered by checking only the data written in the NG file of the auxiliary storage device 25. The error therefore can be speedily discovered. |
