PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comparatively easily arrange transmission of digital word stream data without the need for a new circuit component or the like by applying P/S conversion to individual generated N-channel 20-bit word stream data and transmitting obtained N-channel serial data through N-sets of transmission channels. SOLUTION: Data are 10-bit word stream data that are generated in compliance with a data format and have a word transmission rate of, e.g. 148.5 Mbps. A Y data series DY (10) and a PB/PR data series DC (10) configuring an HD digital video signal of a Y and PB/PR signal format for progressive scanning are fed to a data conversion section 10 while respective horizontal blanking periods with respective EAV and SAV set to them are synchronized with each other. The EAV and SAV being four 10-bit words are set to the horizontal blanking period of the Y data series DY (10). |
