PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fuel consumption, by a method wherein the size of a furnace is minimized by increasing heat transfer performance for a material to be molten, heat in a melting furnace is utilized effectively, and the rise in waste gas temperature is restrained. SOLUTION: A rotary melting furnace is provided with a tubular rotary furnace, rotatable around an axis P of lengthwise direction and installed in a slanted attitude, the supplying port 2 of a material to be molten which supplies the material to be molten into the rotary furnace, a burner 3 for heating the inside of the rotary furnace by blowing flame into the same, and a slag hole 5 for discharging molten slag heated and formed by the burner 3. The supplying port 2 of a material to be molten is provided on the upper side one end in the slanted posture of the rotary furnace, while a burner inserting port 6 is provided at the other end of the lower side of the furnace, so that the supplying port 2 of the material to be molten and the blowing port 7 of the burner 3 are formed by arranging both of them to counterpoise each other. Furthermore, the slag hole 5 is provided near the burner inserting port 6. |
