<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and simply clean an ionizing line by providing a control part which once returns a cleaning member to a home position to perform an automatic cleaning operation again, when an abnormality occurs during driving an automatic cleaning device for the ionizing line. SOLUTION: When a large foreign substance sticks to an ionizing line 48 and a cleaning member 67 cannot ride over the foreign substance during the movement of a slider 66 in a cleaning operation, the cleaning member 67 sometimes stops halfway through its passage. In this case that the foreign substance occurs, a threaded shaft is reversed to once return the cleaning member 67 to a home position(HP). Next, an automatic cleaning operation is resumed and then it is interpreted whether an abnormality is again generated. When the abnormality does not occur, the cleaning operation for the ionizing line 48 is continued to complete it without the return procedure. When the abnormality occurs, it is interpreted how many times such an abnormality has occurred upto its present detection. Then when the total frequency of the abnormality is not yet upto a set frequency level, the cleaning member 67 is returned to the home position by reversing the threaded shaft and the automatic cleaning operation is again performed.</p> |
