PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cellulose-based processed fiber products having sufficiently morphological stability, shrink resistance, tear strength, hygroscopicity, feeling, etc., by means of chemicals not containing formaldehyde. SOLUTION: This method for producing cellulose-based processed fiber products features imparting a processing liquid comprising a monomer having at least COOX [X is hydrogen atom, or an atom or atomic group capable of becoming n(-COO-)Xn+; n is a positive number] and at least one unsaturated bond, a polymerization initiator and an ester-forming catalyst to cellulose-based fiber-containing fibers or fabrics and then heat-treating the fibers or fabrics. The method may feature imparting a processing liquid comprising a monomer having at least COOX [X is hydrogen atom, or an atom or atomic group capable of becoming n(-COO-)Xn+; n is a positive number] and at least one unsaturated bond and a polymerization initiator to cellulose-based fiber-containing fibers or fabrics, then heat-treating the fibers or fabrics, and immediately (or after an optional treatment) imparting a processing liquid comprising at least an ester-forming catalyst and heat-treating the resultant product. |
