PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber size capable of restraining fluff, yarn breakage, etc., from occurring even when contacting with and rubbing on various kinds of guides and useful for reinforcing fibers for a high-strength composite material by using a heterocyclic compound having a specific structure. SOLUTION: This fiber size is prepared by including a heterocyclic compound having a structure where a group represented by the formula Y-C(=X)-Z (X, Y and Z are each 0 or S and at least one of X and Z is 0) is substituted for an ether oxygen constituting a ring of a cyclic ether group-containing compound, e.g. a heterocyclic compound represented by the formula [R1 and R2 are each a residue of a cyclic ether group-containing compound such as a hydrocarbon- based oxide or a hydrocarbon-based monoglycidyl ether or H; R4 is a 1-1o0 hydrocarbon or H; Q is Y-C(=X)-Z; m is 1 to 9; n is 1 to 10]. |
