<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a magnetic tape from slipping and to convey it at a high speed by generating negative pressure to an upstream part in a conveying direction of supporting bodies for the magnetic tape when the magnetic tape is conveyed in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A magnetic tape T is provided with a magnetic body layer on one surface of a base consisting of a PET and an aramid resin or the like and a back layer on the other surface. In a tape processor 10 such as a blade machine and a winder, tape supporting bodies 18a, 18b are abutted on the back layer side of the tape T, the tape T is positioned in a desired processing position, and desired processing is applied to the tape T in a processing part 12 while conveying it in the longitudinal direction. Sucking means 20a, 20b are arranged in just before the upstream side in the tape conveying direction relative to the tape supporting bodies 18a, 18b and are connected to suction pumps to generate pressure lower than the surrounding pressure, and whereby the tape T is pressurized against the tape supporting bodies 18a, 18b. Thus, flotage of the tape T from the tape supporting bodies 18a, 18b is prevented.</p> |
