PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an appropriate discriminant threshold. SOLUTION: The reception signals of channels are obtained (S11). Bin characteristics of these are calculated (S12). Averaging operations are performed per each bin and an all channel average of the bin characteristics is determined (S13). Moving average is performed on the all channel average characteristic and a discriminant threshold is determined (S14). The discriminant threshold is extrapolated to portions of both sides (S15). A bin characteristic of the all channel average and the discriminant threshold is compared and a bin of a value the same or more than the discriminant threshold is detected as an echo (S16).
