PURPOSE: A valve seat for a vehicle engine is provided to induce the flow of suction air toward the center of a combustion chamber by forming a protrusion part at a portion toward a bore where a cylinder block and a cylinder head contact each other, thereby improving the volume efficiency and the filling efficiency of the combustion chamber by smoothing the flow of the suction air, thereby improving the engine performance. CONSTITUTION: A valve seat(10) for a vehicle engine includes a protrusion part(14) formed at a part contacting a wall surface of a combustion chamber(13) for inducing the flow of suction air, and a volume compensating groove(15) formed below the protrusion part in connection for inducing the flow of suction air into the center of the combustion chamber, wherein the protrusion part is formed in a rectilinear line from a front end to a rear end of the seat for directing the suction air.
