PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reporting how-to-use transmission power to a base station controller RNC in a variable bit rate mobile communication system providing a burst service. SOLUTION: A base station B records the number of bits to be transmitted over a prescribed period and averaged transmission power within the period with respect to outgoing link transmission. The prescribed period is a data unit, that is, a multiple of the repetitive period of a transport block. Then the base station B reports them to the RNC. Furthermore, a mobile station UE records the number of bits and the averaged transmission power as above with respect to incoming link transmission and reports them to the RNC. |
