PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the constitution of an occupant detection system so as to lower the production cost and to improve the seating comfortableness on a seat. SOLUTION: An electric field is generated around an antenna electrode 4 arranged on the seat 1, and information related to a current flowing though the antenna electrode 4 is detected on the basis of this electric field. The antenna electrode 4 is applied to an occupant detection system determining an occupant seated condition on the seat 1 according to this information. The antenna electrode 4 is constructed of a conductive thread, cord, or tape type thin long member 4W sewn to an insulative base member 5. |
