<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a good-appearance and large storing space at a low cost even for a glove box with a design in which the upper part of an opening/ closing lid is projected to a car room side, in a glove box structure in which a striker is disposed in a substantially central part of an upper edge of a glove box opening formed in an instrument panel and a locking means engaging with the striker is disposed on the upper part of the opening/closing lid of the glove box. SOLUTION: The striker 14 is projected to the car compartment side of the upper edge 8 of the glove box opening 2, so that the inexpensive locking means 15 can be used, a projection cover portion 10 for covering the upper part of the projecting striker 14 is extended out of the upper edge 8 of the glove box opening 2 to improve the appearance and secure the large storing space.</p> |
