PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plane computer which can process large-scale calculation fast. SOLUTION: The plane computer uses an ASIC-DRAM 1, connects an arithmetic block and a storage block by a data bus with very large bus width, and handles plane area data as an object of calculation. The plane area data are specified as a plane area, and transferred and calculated. The arithmetic block of the plane computer has an address generator 3 and a parallel computer 4 and performs parallel operation after adjusting the plane area data. The plane area data are specified, so a language system is different and the operand of an instruction word specifies a plane area which spreads in two dimensions. |
