The invention relates to a device for producing dental compounds from two or more pasty constituents and/or liquid components. In said device, the rotational speed of the rotating element (21) of a dynamic mixer (1) can be controlled in a continuously variable manner using a control unit (16, 17). In addition, the feed rate of pistons which engage in the cartridges (2-5) can optionally be controlled independently of one another. The control can take place, based on material characteristics of the individual constituents which have been detected using a coding (20) of the cartridges (2-5) and/or based on predetermined characteristics such as viscosity and the setting time of the finished mixture which have been input using corresponding regulators (23-25). In this way, the invention allows mixtures with different compositions and characteristics to be produced using a single mixing device, without modifying the constituents placed therein.
