<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent solid substances from being deposited around pump suction piping set in tanks and pits of a waste water treatment device, thereby preventing the generation of pumping failure when the pumping operation is switched to a spare pump. SOLUTION: The outlet of makeup water 66, of which the solid content is low and which is fed from a line, is installed in the vicinity of the suction port of each of pump suction piping 60, 60' arranged in a tank 19 of the waste water treatment device, and the makeup water 66 is continuously or intermittently supplied to the outlet. By supplying the makeup water 66 to the vicinity of the suction ports of the pump suction piping 60, 60' in such a way, the solid substances deposited in the suction ports can be removed, preventing the generation of the pumping failure when a pump 20 is switched to a spare pump 20'.</p> |
