PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semitransmissive liquid crystal display device eliminating the lowering of contrast due to a rear side diffusion in a reflective display mode. SOLUTION: In the semitransmissive liquid crystal display device 17, a convex array group comprising many convex parts 18 aligned on a glass substrate 2 is formed, is coated thereon with a semitransmissive film 19 formed of a metal film 25 having light passage holes 26 and moreover a color filter 6, an over coat layer 7 and a transparent electrode 8 are formed. Also, a transparent electrode 10 and an alignment layer 11 are successively formed on a glass substrate 3. |
