PURPOSE: A prime cost auction method is provided to open the prime cost of a commodity to a consumer at an Internet auction so that it can enhance a reliability and offer the commodities to the consumer at a lower price. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of an auction operator notifying an auction opening time and an auction commodity list over a home page, the auction operator starting the auction at the notified time, the operator presenting the highest bidding price among bidding prices offered by the bidders for 2 minutes, the operator giving bidders 20 seconds for enabling the bidders to make a bid again, the operator giving the bidders another 20 seconds if a bidder offers a higher price, and the operator finishing the auction process if no bidder offers a higher price.
