METHOD FOR RECOVERING NOBLE METAL FROM METALLIC COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively leach and recover valuable metals (noble metals: particularly, gold) from a metallic composition in which various kinds of metals are mixed by a safe method without using an aqueous solution with a light toxicity such as that a cyanide. SOLUTION: In this noble metal recovering method, noble metals are selectively leached into an electrolytic solution, and electrolysis is executed to selectively recover the noble metals on a cathode. As the electrolytic aqueous solution, the one containing thiourea and/or thiosulfuric ions (S2O32-) as a complexing agent and containing sulfurous ions (SO32-) as a stabilizer for thiourea is used.
