PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing a pile yarn from coming off in towel cloth by which the pile yarn is prevented from coming off while keeping the characteristics of a conventional towel rich in air permeability, moisture absorption and heat-retaining properties. SOLUTION: This method for preventing the pile yarn from coming off in towel cloth is characterized in that a synthetic resin 6 liquid is uniformly applied onto the back surface of the towel cloth to provide a coating film of the synthetic resin 6, and the resultant coated synthetic resin 6 liquid is dried by hot-air drying to enable the solution of the coated film of the synthetic resin 6 to penetrate into the interior of each of the yarns and to stick the yarns to each other at the parts 7 having contact pointes of the yarns, and to form air- permeable holes 8 at the parts having no contact point in the towel cloth obtained by weaving a pile warp yarn 3 into a weft yarn 1 and a base warp yarn 2.
