PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for fluorescence detection electrophoresis, and the like, capable of performing, by means of fluorescence detection, the state of electrophoresis of a sample marked with a fluorescent sample in a gel kept at a constant temperature. SOLUTION: A cooling plate 11 for fluorescence detection electrophoresis is placed on an excavating light source 13, a gel holder 21 is placed on the plate 11, and electrodes 12A, 12B are disposed parallel to each other leaving as prescribed space between them on the gel 22. A coolant circulating device 18 is actuated to circulate a coolant within the plate 11, thus keeping the gel 22 at a constant temperature. Then, a high voltage is placed between the electrodes 12A, 12B by a power supply 17 for electrophoresis to electrophoreses the fluorescent sample in the gel 22. Exciting light outputted from the light source 13 is passed through the plate 11 and through the gel holder 21, and is applied to the gel 22, thereby exciting the sample. Fluorescence generated from the sample is image-picked up by a fluorescence detector 15. |
