<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform image processing procedures that respectively fits a natural image and an image such as a character original. SOLUTION: A CCG 1 photographs a color image. The photographed image is compressed as a digital image signal by an image processing block 7 and recorded on recording media 9. Processing by the block 7 can be switched. When the photographed image is a natural image, the photographed image is compressed by an irreversible coding JPEG, and when the photographed image is the character original, etc., binarization of a photographed colored image and conversion processing to a GIF format including data compression by an LZW are carried out. By this switching, the recorded image of the character original is made clearly distinguishable from the background and is easily read, and compressed data size can be made small.</p> |
