PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acrylic resin composition for press molding which is excellent in moldability, mechanical properties of a molded product and heat resistance and moreover imparts excellent resistance to boiling water and impact resistance without losing the excellent characteristics of acrylic syrup, and to provide artificial marble obtained by the press molding of the above resin composition for press molding. SOLUTION: The resin composition for press molding comprises (A) a carboxyl group-containing acrylic polymer (B) an epoxy acrylate and (C) methyl methacrylate as essential ingredients. An artificial marble molded product excellent in moldability, an outward appearance and dimensional accuracy all of which cannot be attained by conventional technology and having resistance to boiling water, high strength and high impact resistance the shortcomings of which are conventional defects is obtained by using the above resin composition for press molding.
