PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to recognize how large noise his or her voice signal to be sent has before making a telephone call as to a radio telephone device comprising a slave unit and its master unit. SOLUTION: When the slave unit is placed in the off-hook state first, a radio connection between the master unit and slave unit (S2, S11) is established and it is decided (S13) whether the master unit has received a soundless state radio signal from the slave unit before a telephone call is made. The soundless state radio signal, when received by the master unit, is converted into a voice signal (S14), its noise level is measured (S15) and decided (S16) by comparison with a specific threshold. The decision result is reported as noise level data to the slave unit (S17) and the slave unit displays the reported result (S6).
