<p>PURPOSE:To secure good acting property and reduce the torque difference at the time of switching. CONSTITUTION:This valve system for an engine is provided with a variable valve timing mechanism 10 capable of switching the rotational phase of a cam shaft 12 and a variable valve lift mechanism 11 capable of switching cams 25, 26a, 26b openably/closably driving a valve. The operating regions and nonoperational positions of both mechanisms 10, 11 are set so that the feed of the operating oil to the variable valve timing mechanism 10 and the feed of the operating oil to the variable valve lift mechanism do not overlapped.</p> |
