PURPOSE: A real-time communication method between subscribers is provided to always perform communication at real time by connecting a modem with the Internet in a called subscriber who is connected with the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A computer of a calling subscriber drives an application program(201). An object ID or telephone number is requested, and the object ID or telephone number is inputted(202). If the object ID is inputted and a connection is clicked, the application program searches a domain name related to the object ID from a database and drives a web browser to be connected with a corresponding site(203). If it is connected with a real-time communication site, the application program transmits an ID and password of the calling subscriber and the object ID to the real-time communication to perform a log-in, and the real-time communication site checks an on-line state of a called subscriber(203,204). If the called subscriber is the on-line state, the calling subscriber and the called subscriber are connected for exchanging a message at real time(205). If the called subscriber is an off-line state, a signal for informing that the called subscriber is the off-line state is transmitted from the real-time communication site to the application program. The application program reads an object telephone number from data provided from the database or the real-time communication site and drives an 1:1 communication program to be connected with a modem(208,209).
